You've heard it so many times before but Detchant really is ideally situated to explore Northumberland. Many of the iconic "Must see" places are less than hour away whilst the beautiful Scottish Border towns of Kelso (45 minutes), Melrose (an hour) and the stunning countryside are also within easy reach. Detchant also offers an excellent base for cycling and walking around Northumberland as the Cheviot Hills are only 25 minutes away.
